A former lieutenant colonel with the United States Air Force, Ricky Mantei supports local veterans and encourages his employees to do the same.

In November 2019, during National Veterans and Military Families Month, Mr. Mantei’s support of military veterans was the subject of a WIS News 10 story. He and his daughter had spent every Sunday during the prior four months visiting Homestead Hospice and spending time with veterans. The WIS News 10 story showed Mr. Mantei and his daughter giving 89-year-old Boyd Browne a Christmas tree, two turkeys, and a handbuilt model airplane.

Mr. Mantei noted that he is happy to bring joy to local veterans and is also appreciative of stories they share with his daughter that she otherwise wouldn’t learn in school. Employees at his offices also visit Homestead Hospice to connect and spend time with local veterans. Oftentimes, they spend a full day conversing and sharing stories.
